What the ART is

The ART, Anotação de Responsabilidade Técnica (Technical Responsibility Record), is the CREA record that identifies the professional responsible for an engineering design, work, report or service.

It works like an official signature: it says who did the work, what was done and where. If something goes wrong, it is clear who is technically responsible for the service.

The ART is required by City Hall, the Fire Department, registry offices, banks and environmental agencies. Without it, the technical service is not accepted in the cases.

Resubmit the documents with the correct ART.

  3. 3

    Violation notice

The professional council issues a violation notice for the work or service.

    What can be done

Regularize the technical responsibility and submit a defense where appropriate.

  4. 4

Without a responsible professional, the owner answers alone for failures.
